Each year, the Pennsylvania Center for the Book compiles the Baker’s Dozen. In fact, I don’t think I would even be a children’s librarian if it weren’t for two members of the Baker’s Dozen Collection Committee (Steven Herb and Sara Willoughby-Herb, a spectacular husband-wife team) who taught an amazing course in early literacy at Dominican U. There are a lot of booklists out there, but this is one of my favorites. Each year they compile a list of 13 new picture books that are exemplary in fulfilling the goals of family literacy programs. The criteria for the Baker’s Dozen is uniquely thoughtful. Here’s a direct link to all the lists from 2004 to 2011

This wiki has some wonderful ideas for your next storytime.
I have no idea who put this site together, and why they created a rather large database of children’s music, but if you need to find the lyrics to song for storytime it’s a good place to look.
