Tomorrow’s storytime is bound to give me the heebie-jeebies! If it’s creepy, crawly, slimy, or icky we’re reading, singing and rhyming about it.
The books we’ll be reading:
Aaaarrgghh! Spider! by Lydia Monks
A sweet little spider longs to find a family who will embrace her as the family pet.
The Croaky Pokey by Ethan Long
A pond of frog sing and dance their own version of the Hokey Pokey while trying to catch a pesky fly.
Over in the Garden by Jennifer Ward
The classic tune, Over in the Meadow, starring a slew of creepy crawler mommies and babies.
Step by Step by Diane Wolkstein
5 words: Ant wears four red sneakers. ‘Nuff said.
The rhymes we’ll be saying:
I made a whole bunch of little spiders (same design, but in various bright colors) and laminated them.
Tomorrow, I’ll do the rhyme once through. Then I’ll pass out the little spiders to the kids, and we’ll all do it together. them out to the kids
